I'm from the place that God created first – before He created the rest of the world.
A neighbour once said these words to me. At first, I smiled. Today, I understand exactly what he meant.
I'm Alexandra, a plastic surgeon, and somewhere between the mountains, the ocean and the endless light of the Western Cape, I unexpectedly fell in love with South Africa. Not only with its breathtaking beauty, but also with the warmth, kindness and generosity of its people.
What began as a journey became my new life. And eventually, it became home.
When Gabriel and I met, we shared the same dream: to create places where people could slow down, reconnect and experience the South Africa I had fallen in love with.
That dream became Best Place Ever.
Every place we call part of Best Place Ever has something that made us fall in love with it—a story, a soul, and a character all its own.
We hope that when you stay with us, you won't just visit South Africa. You'll feel part of it.
Best Place Ever was shaped by many hands, many cultures and many quiet acts of love.
What began as building, restoring and creating became something far more meaningful. People from different places came together, shared ideas, left a part of themselves behind – and slowly, this place became more than a collection of homes.
Here, days unfold gently: by the pool, in the open air, in conversations that begin by chance and often become laughter, connection and friendship.
Best Place Ever is a place to arrive, to breathe, to feel connected – and to carry a little piece of South Africa with you when you leave.

What began as working together slowly grew into genuine friendship. Today, we are more than a team. We share a love for this place, for the people we meet, and for creating moments that guests will remember long after they leave.
