Wolwekloof Estate Wine Farm, Robertson, Breede River Valley

The experience

What sets Wolwekloof apart

Wide-open valley views, working vineyards, star-filled skies, and complete privacy — a different pace of wine country living.

Working Wine Estate

The estate is a real, working wine farm — not a set piece. Private tastings can be arranged, and the vineyards surrounding the farmhouse are part of the same harvest.

World-Class Stargazing

The Breede River Valley sits far from city light pollution. On a clear night the Milky Way is visible with the naked eye — a view rarely possible from the city.

Private Pool & Deck

A private pool set against wide valley views — with a braai area, outdoor dining, and enough space to spend an entire day outside under the sun.

Big Sky Country

Endless horizons in every direction — the Langeberg range to the south, and endless rolling valley to the east. Genuine visual peace.

The estate

A working wine farm in the sun-drenched Breede River Valley

Set two hours east of Cape Town, Wolwekloof Estate is a working wine farm retreat that invites guests to slow down completely. The landscape opens up — wide, flat vineyards under enormous skies, with the Langeberg mountains as a constant backdrop and a silence at night that makes the stars impossible to ignore.

The estate farmhouse is warm and generous in scale — built for long lunches, afternoon swims, and evenings that stretch long into the night with good wine. This is a place for groups who want space, families who want freedom, and anyone who has been meaning to properly stop for a while.

Where Time Slows Down

A rich, terracotta-toned bedroom with a dark wood sleigh bed dressed in mustard and white linens, botanical prints along the wall, and a wall of built-in shelving styled with candlelight and greenery. A deep leather sofa by the window makes it as much a place to linger as to sleep.
